apkInstaller with A500?

Brand new to Android development. Working on an app that requires a physical device due to AVD limitations. Considering buying an A500 to fill double purpose of a personal tablet and debugging device.

Question is, will apkInstaller work on the A500 with Android 3.1 through the sd card?

What the hell is apkInstaller?

You can install from the market or Amazon, or downloaded apk files if you turn on the untrusted sources option.
With any file manager you can look for apk files on wifi, usb, or microsd cards, and copy them to the tablet and tap them to install, as long as you have untrusted sources turned on.
