I dont know if such app exists, but it would be interesting if we could control our home theater pc with our NC.
Any ideas?:)

I have just recently been looking, I have found apps for xbmc and boxee remote control and I have used Wyse pocketcloud to remotely control my pc from my nook.

The app that U suggest is just a remote desktop app, where u control the mouse pointer like in normal windows.
I was thinking maybe there was something only for media use.

I think you want G-mote , When I was looking for an app for steaming videos to my Nook from my htpc . G-mote kept coming up which looks and acts like a remote control. Could not definitively nail down if it could stream avi files with sound to my Nook color .
I currently am using teamviewer , to access my pc from anywhere over wifi to nook color . Could stream video but I could not get sound.

G Mote is great but he has not updated it since October 12, 2009!!!
I don't get it, it was the best app for this!
I guess he gave up on it.

You can use Gmote as is or try a generic remote control app such as:
http://market.android.com/details?id=com.strawbuilt.remotecontrol.client.free

This may be better but I never tried it: http://market.android.com/details?id=banamalon.remote.win.lite

There is also VLC remote for controlling VLC. I never got this working but did not play with it that much:
http://market.android.com/details?id=aberl.vlc.light.mote

There are a few, just search on the market for remote control.

I use myRemote app. It has a WMC designated button with all media control control buttons. Full screen mouse and it uses whatever keyboard you have installed.

Finally I installed Unified Remote which has separate remote for Keyboard, File manager, Firefox, Media Player Home Cinema etc.
I think its the most complete Android player and it works great!
