Apps permissions paranoia

The permissions given to apps on install seem very intrusive.

ie. for Opera browser-
Storage- modify/delete sd card content
Network communications- full internet access
Services that cost you money- directly call phone numbers

Am I being old school parnoid or is this "normal " and OK to grant.

This is completely normal. There may be some little function that it needs the extra permissions for.

There as an app called Permissions Denied (free) and another one called Privacy Blocker (paid) that will strip apps of permissions if you dont want them to have them

Android apps are like children. They will ask for permissions and priviledges that they don't really need just to have them. As stated above, there are apps that allow you to control rights. Crank it down see what happens
