Archos 7 Home Tablet Help - Internal memory is not avaialble, Available Space 0

Ive had look round forum and not had much luck. I guess I can say I have been fleeced. I just purchased this Archos 7 Home Tablet Model A70HB. When I go into Settings its says

Internal Flash Storage
Available space
0

System storage
Available space
26MB

When I connect it to my PC through USB, right click on it in My Computer, Properties it says I have 6.84GB free.

It wont allow me to download to it.

From reading through the forums Im guessing this is some sort of firmware flash go wrong. Is there anything I can do to sort this?

If you have just purchased, you have three choices
1. Return and exchange
2. Download and reapply the firmware by following the instructions to download and install from this link. ARCHOS
3. Use it as a doorstop
It is my hope you did not pay too much for this unit. The A70HB is the earliest generation and was obsolete a year ago.
This is the first generation Archos 7 Home with Android 1.5.
