Hello, need some help. Been to a lot of forums and seen a lot of posts but I have been unable to install the regular Android market. It is an Archos 70 Internet Tablet with 8G hard drive. It has Android 2.2.1 (FROYO I believe) installed on it. The firmware says 2.4.81. I have tried installing many different APK's such as super user, arcangel and none have worked.

I am VERY new to the whole smart phone and tablet interfaces so please be patient but I am very capable and a quick learner. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

OK, Let me first state, Archos is NOT root friendly. What is the reason for you wanting root. You have the ability to install a Dual boot capability, and have alternate builds for root. But Root off of a default Archos Firmware is not for the faint of heart. It can be done, but is easier to dual boot and have a a CFW to meet your needs and use Archos for all else.
