This is not so much of a news item so am putting it down here. It looks like the Android 5 IMT is waving buh-bye. This is likely due to the introduction of the newer less expensive models being released.

The 5 series was closer to a PMP than a real tablet. I guess I am biased. I think any system that has a screen just slightly bigger than a phone is a PMP. It came (comes) in a variety of storage sizes, and a decent battery life. The main issue was it was only interesting if you have one of the 5 IMT Phones. This may still be produced but I doubt it.
Lets compare the Prices
Doing a basic Google price search shows the 5 IMT selling at:
8 Gb Model $200+
16Gb Model $250+
to a
500Gb Model $400+

The price of the newer faster Archos 43 is about the same price with a slightly smaller screen.

Why did I start this thread. If you like or considering the Archos 5, Expect the prices to drop considerably in the next 2 months as they disappear. This article about three weeks ago was a hint of things to come
