Hi, i'm trying to find a way to connect my asus transformer to my laptop in order to use its wired internet connection. i have tried the ad hoc connection approach but failed an have since read that this is not supported, read that if its "rooted" (not sure what that means) you can manipulate the table to use the ad hoc connection, but is it complicated process? is there another way, USB or Bluetooth? is android likely to support ad hoc in the near future? i was really disappointed to see that this isn't supported out of the box. even tried setting up an AP wifi on my dell e5510, but couldn't get that to work with connectify or virtual router.

lots of questions i know, but one last thing, will the asus transformer get an upgrade to ice cream?
