It seems that Sears has a new item which has been selling at it's sister store Kmart. But now Sears is carrying Gentouch78 and you can buy it in the store or online and use customer pickup at the store feature.

Just chatted with Sears customer service, it's out of stock for direct shipping too.

This doesn't come with the Google Market app correct?

Has anyone tried this yet and can comment on other aspects of the unit?

I've got one. It's OK...but I'm having a problem with the power switch...it's real flaky.

The unit is cheap feeling. Heavy, but cheap feeling, especially the on/off switch. The ac adapter doesn't like to stay in the plug...but it's servicable.

The screen is resistive and really needs the supplied stylus.

There is a hack somewhere on this board to root it and put the market it on it...did it and if you can follow instructions it can be handled. You do need to have the SDK installed because you need ADB to do it. But once it's done it works like champ.

I have the Kindle and Nook apps on installed. Works fine.

No GPS, or any of the good things. You have to manually switch between portrait and landscape.

But my primary reason for the unit is as an eReader and that works great.
