Hi everybody. I see that progress is being made on rooting version 1.2 but I'd like to delay that update till we have stable versions. Currently I'm running rooted 1.1 using Autonooter 3 and am quite happy with it.

Is there any way to block the 1.2 OTA update safely? I am using it with wifi off until I'm sure I can block 1.2 or until the XDA guys have a foolproof (i.e. "almost" safe for me version ;)) autonooter for 1.2.

Thanks a lot.

Well, as far as I know...the installation of ClockWorkMod Recovery will block OTA updates.

Just to be sure. I can install CWM Rom Manager even with a rooted Nook, right?

Yes, you actually need a rooted Nook to install it internally otherwise you have to install it on a bootable SD card.
