B&N nook app data access path -- can it be changed?

If anyone is using the B&N Nook app (formerly "nook for android") with CM7, the place the app looks for side loaded books is /sdcard/nook/... and nowhere else. Can this be changed? Most other apps (CM7 or stock) check under /sdcard/My Files/... and it would be nice for the nook app to do the same.
