Hello everyone, I just got B-Pad 717 allwiner a13 tablet today. It looks like your generic a13 7'' tablet. But it didn't went all that well. First it just stuck on the boot. It went through splash screen, then android letters with glow going through them and that was it. I left it that way for 15 minutes and it was still at the android letters, doing nothing. It seems it was semi bricked upon arrival. I went looking for new rom but as it's usual with chinese tablets there wasn't any. So I wen't looking for some other rom that would hopefully work. After few that weren't so good (screen size wrong, touchscreen not working, this tablet has goodix touchscreen controller) I found some that were more or less OK.

Problem is that either bezel on the touchscreen is larger than it should be, so visible screen is smaller, or it's not actually 800x480 but 800x400 screen. Although if I "peek" under the bezel I can see "missing" parts of the screen. Picture is worth more than words so here's one, this is how it looks like

Upper side looks fine but it's also cut somewhat from what it should be (i.e. play store icon bag is missing its handle).

Some other are fine vertically, but they're misplaced horizontally to the left, like this

My question is is there some way, some file to edit in it's filesystem that has something to do with screen positioning and size? I tried fiddling with display options but they did nothing and only screen resolution available is 800x480.

No one has any ideas how to try to fix it? Some way to edit system files to like make it work on 800x400 resolution centered so that screen is not cut off?
