bbciplayer & itvplayer wont work any help??

Hello all, I've got a sanei n90 (aka m9701!) With ics 4.0.3. I just can't get either iplayer or itvplayer to work. I've downloaded iplayer & it works for a short time, then stutters & breaks up. I d/loaded adobe air & tried to load itvplayer but it says incompatible with my device. Does anyone have a solution to this please? I think I need os updates but as yet haven't found one for my tab.
