Binatone Homesurf 7

Hi,new to android tablets and here. I got a homesurf 7 as a free gift and would like to update it from 1.6 (donut) to 2.1(maybe), I have installed Z4root which has given me super user icon and seems tobe working but thats about as far as i go, what next, can i upgrade to 2.1 or should i just throw it away. Any help would be brill.

Do you have firmware? This is not like a windows upgrade - OS (aka firmware) is customer made for each device, usually by the hardware manufacturer. Sometimes there is community support.

I've looked everywhere i can think and keep coming to a brick wall. Can't find any support or maybe theres just nothing out there for it. Thanks
