There seem to have been an update on the Leader home page. The G10 has been removed they only show the GM10 now. And instead of saying only android 2.2 it says android 2.2 and above. Maybe a hint of a coming update.
I've been trying to contact them for the latest 2.2 rom but no answer.
Maybe someone else will have more luck. If anyone knows Chinese.

Note: The Leader GM10 is the original hardware for all of our tablets.

I Just copied this over from a German forum. Maybe it will help somene in doing some progress
I think the problem is nandsim.

1modprobe nandsim first_id_byte=0x20 second_id_byte=0xaa third_id_byte=0x00 fourth_id_byte=0x15
This make a simulated nand with this parameters:
1gertm# mtdinfo /dev/mtd0
2mtd0
3Name: NAND simulator partition 0
4Type: nand
5Eraseblock size: 131072 bytes, 128.0 KiB
6Amount of eraseblocks: 2048 (268435456 bytes, 256.0 Mi
7Minimum input/output unit size: 2048 bytes
8Sub-page size: 512 bytes
9OOB size: 64 bytes
10Character device major/minor: 90:0
11Bad blocks are allowed: true
12Device is writable: true
The eraseblock size is 131072 bytes (20000Hex). I log with Hexedit in the file rootfs-mtd2.img and found every offset 0x20000 the magic number "UBI#"
(hex 55 42 49 23)

I can mount the file without problems.

In system_ubi.img is the offset for the magic number "UBI#" 0x80000. This corresponding a eraseblock size of 524288.

How can I set this value on nandsim?

Hello.

Just bought this device and discovered this thread, looks like it's the only source of information about GM10.

Is it possible to use /mnt/internalstorage? df tells that there 1.4G of free space on that partition but I cannot mount it using USB cable (only SD card).

Also I've found busybox installed on my device so now it's much easyer navigate in the filesystem using adb shell.

Hi guys! Just got my GM10 and so far i'm quite happy with the device, a few drawbacks here and there but this was expected...

Any tips as to what I should do first with ? Probably root and adb ?

Also, my camera app won't snap pictures...

Thanks for your suggestions!

Sorry folks for being inactive. My tablet has been in service for the last 2 weeks because of an lcd issue. Will continue looking into it once it comes back.

Edit : The device doesn't have ondemand cpu governor that is why we have such a bad battery life ( well not really bad compared to other chinese tablets :) )

Just joined thread. I have one of these. Gm10 Marvell Tablets (China)is what its named. Exact as the Bluepanther. Overall the build is solid. My tablet came with market working. Older version.
No flash support. Seems not to be able to play to many video formats at all even with several conv attempts. Maps and GPs are solid. My only complaints is video. Not a techy but follow directions well. Looking for video help and see how things are progressing. what can I provide that will help? By following direction I have been able to root my other pads (2) and install cfw on them. There is little out there on this one you guys seem to be the only forum. Wi-Fi also works.
Thankx for work done so far. Looking forward to a rom if possible.

Is there any official firmware updates released that you are aware of?

System info:

Kernel Version 2.6.34-generic-BYD-20110120
root@dylan-desktop (CodeSourcery

Build number: GM10 V2.2 2.2.1 zh.root.20110120.111316 test-keys:confused:
