Broadband speed / wifi issue

I have comcast cable at 1.5 mbs down. Constantly buffers. Runs great on neighbors DSL @ 3 mbs. What is your download speed? I don't know whether I need a new modem or bump up the speed. I have no problems with my laptop streaming. Does anyone run their's with 1.5 mbs? What router are you using?

A useful app to check your download speed is Speedtest from Ookla. Your Comcast cable download speed of 1.5 MBPS is actually pretty slow, since most HD video needs at least 2-3 MBPS to stream smoothly. On top of that, your download speed on your tablet may be lower, since it depends on your wireless router's speed, and how far away you are from the router (remember that speed can drop off as you move farther away from the router).

Thanks for the scoop. I guess it is just the difference in OS. The HP tab never buffered but in was junk. Going to get that internet boosted tomorrow. Thanks!
