Browser and search key disabler apk

Who wrote this? I have a ghost key on my Samsung captivate and need to know if a similar could be written for just the search key.
Devise is running a custom group rom.

I was searching for it but it got buried in a thread somewhere.

steev did. IIRIC it edits a file in /system/usr/keylayout. File for Kyros is s3c-keypad.kl.

OK. Found it and fixed it.. super easy to do with root explorer. I used the info from a thread to simply put a # in front of the offending ghost key and rebooted. Go me.

SORRY.. gUESS I should hav eposted teh ACTUAL fix. here.

Download this to your kyros: browserkey.zip - 4shared.com - online file sharing and storage - download once downloaded you need to extract it. use androzip. once extracted, install the app.
download Python for android from the market. Once installed, run Pyton and have it install scripts.
then once it has downloaded and installed its things, run the browser key app. you will get a toast message stating they are disabled. reboot and you are done.

FWIW, YOU MUST HAVE ROOT to do this.
