Is there any webcam (in the economy class) which works with the SNET7LP?
Thank you for any ideas on the subject.

Short answer: NO.

Long answer: Yes, IF you can write a driver for the webcam that you purchase and create an app to use the camera. NOW, if you run Ubuntu, you can create a driver based on the windows x86 driver, but you lose the functionality of Android Apps and basically end up with a Linux tablet.

Going by your username.... see "short answer" ;-)

Lorenii,
Thank you.
I saw advice to the effect that I should plug the prospective webcam into a full featured Linux desktop which would then somehow extract the driver requirements. This post went on to explain how to easily create your own driver and install it in your device. I like your answer better.
The size of this tablet would have made useful as a display for a mechanic's snorkel cam.
But the price of snorkel cams is coming down, and I'm used to using a mirror attached to a coathanger.
Thanks again

PS: Lorenii,
The Title of the advice referred to above is:
"How to make an Android tablet support a USB Webcam using the host port"
The author is: Chris Stratton
(paraphrasing):

(1) Use a Linux desktop to identify the webcam's driver.
(2) Compile a driver for the tablet's kernel.
