Thanks for reading.. I have an older style 7" MID ? that is running Android 1.6

My Daughter would like to use this but needs it to be at least 3.1 or higher if possible. Any chance ?

    Welcome to the forum!

    Which MID tablet is it?

If we have a model number we can help get you the answer.

Thanks for the reply and the welcome.

The booklet I have says M001 User Manual MID. That's the only manufacture info I can find I'm afraid. Nothing listed under the About section apart from Kernel info etc.

I found a few firmwares for it, both stock and custom and all of them are Android 1.6. Some of the forums I read said that the tablet does not have the hardware to run anything newer that that, so that would mean a new tablet to get beyond 1.6 from what I can tell.

Also, it is an EKEN M001 MID tablet.

Oh I see. Yes actually Eken does ring a bell now that I see the name. Oh well I guess it's a good excuse for a Christmas present :)

Thanks for taking the time Frederuco, much appreciated. +rep
