I'm trying to connect my SuperPad 6 via USB to my PC, so I can have access to USB debugging when developing, but Windows won't recognize my device; the problem isn't that it tries to install drivers and then fails; nothing happens when I plug it in: its as if I never plugged it in at all. I know that the USB ports I'm using are functional. I've tried other ports to be sure. I'm using a male to male USB cord I bought from a store. I've searched around and it seems a lot of people have similar problems, but oddly enough, none of the threads I found were helpful to me, or they involved long involved steps that could potentially break the tablet, that I wasn't even sure applied to my tablet. Does anyone know a solution to this problem?

Android version: 2.3
Windows version: Windows 7.

Welcome to the forum

It's possible I'm totally wrong here but are you using the charging cable. The M-M USB cable statement doesn't sound right. Normally the cable would go from the charging port to the USB port.
