Can't cut and paste.

I have some books that I downloaded. I want to move them from internal memory to a folder on SD card. When I try to paste the file it says file cannot be moved. I can copy/paste just fine. I tried it in AndExplorer and ES File Explorer.
What am I missing?

I am able to COPY and PASTE ebook files from /nand/ebooks to /SDcard using File Manager 2.1.0 available in the Market (by Adao)

Yes, copy/paste is fine, just not cut and paste.

The error is "failed on cross-device link"
From the terminal cp -r * works but the mv * fails.

This can be done easily from the terminal with cp followed by rm. Both can be put in a simple script that can be run with Gscript with just a couple of clicks, no typing.

Caution: /sdcards/eBooks/ must exist first or you may just rm even if cp fails!
