charging an iPhone with my acer A500

I need my tablet to charge my phone quite often but the main problem is that the screen has to be on. Is there any way to keep my phone charging with out having the screen on? Keeping the screen on kills the tablet so its kind of a hassle. any and all thoughts would be great.

I would not recommend it. Unless a battery is designed for charging discharge, it can ruin a battery in the same way as if you used too high or too low milliamp/amp charger. More Voltage control circuit boards get ruined on a battery or the primary circuit board due to improper charging or discharge.
