That's great news. For all who r trying to install cmd recovery follow this route. I was going to try it but fun said not to because it hadn't been tested yet. Glad to know it works.

what I said is "do not use FwTool app". it's for touchscreen controller. it's different than android system update tool.

(I don't know FWTool app is included in COBY's stock rom)

I have rooted my kyros with the instructions above but I failed to copy any file. I don´t know what is wrong. I have tried even to copy it from terminal. I need to copy a file to /system/apps to fix accounts. Can anybody help me?
Thank you

I don't have 7022

Correct but I figured since you have seen so many rebrands of this tablet you would know of a generic rom that would work.

So what is the easiest way to root this thing. I am so used to ad free that the ads are really bugging me so I want to root it so I can install ad free among other things.

Thank you anyway. I will tell you my actual situation, just in case somebody has any idea:
I just can acces my tablet in FWDN or Fastboot mode. No way to go back to stock Recovery or use clockwork or anything. I just can use FWDN V7 v2.13.
The lk.rom works. But when I use my img, it takes toooo long. If I use the three files at the same time (lk.rom, the img and NAND Data.fai) I get an error message telling me something like the target is smaller than needed (sorry, I can´t remember exactly now but I will do the process again and post it if somebody needs this information)
That´s all, I think. The best solution would be to get back the stuck recovery mode, but I would appreciate any other idea or suggestion.
Thank you very much

At least! I would fix it through FWDN with the right files. I have now the CM7 installed but I have the problem of the touchscreen frozen. I will keep on working on it. Thank you!

Thanks! By now, I have fix it. The problem now is that the touchscreen doesn´t work. I am looking for the original coby firmware for clockwork. If I can´t get the screen working at least I could the warranty

by the way I removed COBY 7022 from supported list for my CM7 for now.

there is some reports about dead TS on 7022. I'm not sure what causes it. I think some are just defect hardware, some are just user didn't follow procedure and got wrongly calibrated TS(actually no problem). if you are using my CM7 and TS still works fine, please report.

I can't believe but if it's come from software, then just using clockworkmod recovery for EM73 also have a chance to kill your 7022 TS.
I'll try 7022 kernel on my EM73 when I get it.

I warn here but I'll not remove my files on my site because it's for EM73. there is no issue on EM73 and variants.
