Confused, can I update rooted .56 with CWM to HC?

Read a few threads that say their device bricked when trying to update to HC with CWM installed. Is this the case for everyone? Anyway to remove CWM? Or is there no way to update a .56 tab with CWM without bricking it. I don't care if I loose root.

you would have to try to remove the uboot ramdisk images as well as edit the script. i dont think its possible. mine bricked waiting back for my claim for pic upload to vizio then doing advance exchange.

It should be possible to remove CWM if you can install it. Also, rooting does not automatically install CWM so unless you did it manually it may not be an issue. It would take the proper procedure to remove CWM and I don't know that I have seen a script or the steps to do so. Unless you know what you are doing be careful trying to remove CWM.
