So I've been using this for a couple days now. I've noticed my tab is definitely snappier. Scrolling has been much smoother. Also, I haven't experienced any noticeable difference in battery life. However, my tab did crash to a grey screen on the first day of using it but I haven't seen it happen since.

Overall I really like this! Great job and thanks for all your work!

Congratulations, vampirefo, and thanks for your kind help overall.

I feel interested to try out your A2109A JB pimped kernel on my A2110,
but, right now, the stock A2110 works remarquably smooth for me (as
compared to original ICS stock or alpha JB CM10 (no blame
superhansi)).

Also, the ICS Lenovo A2109A and Medion A2110 kernel tarballs are
slighty different, and, for now, unfortunately, we only have A2109A JB
one (I asked Medion for A2110 JB one).

What I want to say: as soon as Medion (=Lenovo in case you might have
doubts) publishes its JB GPL A2110 krnl src, I will let you know and I
will be eager to compare stock versus pimped performance (which you or
I could build from it).

Hi all, if -anybody- out there recently bought (in Aldi perhaps?) a
Medion with JB preinstalled (assuming those are for sale to begin
with), -please- check your dvd/cd for kernel source tarball and let
the community know.

Have a nice day

Hi vampirefo

Thanks as always for expert reply.

What shall I provide you to 'get' the 2110 kernel? Is a dd from LNX partition OK?, or perhaps the boot.img from CWM backup?, or, perhaps yet something else?
I can of course also give .config.

Not sure what you mean with "your kernel is the same as our 2109", how can anybody have built new 2110 kernel if its source is not available?

As said, 2109 ICS and 2110 ICS kernel source tar balls were slightly different, so I expect this to be the case for 2109 JB and 2110 JB kernel source tar balls as well.

Maybe we talk different things: I mean the source, you mean the binary?

I guess Medion should release the kernel source which runs on the Jelly Bean upgraded Lifetab.

have a nice day!

@vampirefo

OK I see now, you meant Lenovo S2110 not Medion A2110 :D

Not sure where is a forum where Lenovo S2110 is discussed.

Thanks

Lenovo's S21xx and A21xx devices are significantly different, ie the S2109 and A2109 are completely different devices with completely different firmware.

Yes, they are different I want to see a kernel config anyway though.

@vampirefo

Just curious, in how far does your kernel .config differ from stock one?

Do you mind you posting their diff?

Thanks

That's too bad. I have an A2109 on the way. I point Titanium Backup to a network drive. Is it possible to get cifs added please?
