Customizing Desktop on Asus eee pad

I am trying to customize the desktop on my Asus ee pad transformer....I want to remove some of the widgets and aps from the desktop. How do i do this???

To remove apps and widgets from the various launch screens, just hold the icons of widgets for a second or two and a red trash can will appear on the top right corner. Without lifting your finger from the icon or widget, drag it to the trash can. That is now going delegates... to added, hold your finger on the screwed and it will give you a menu to select wallpaper, widgets or apps.
