Dead battery

We have a Vizio vtab1008 used mainly by the grand kids, seems on last use it didn't shut off and the battery is totally dead. Was on the charger for 14 hrs straight ,only shows red on charger bar. The question is can the battery be replaced or is the tablet now junk??

do you have a reset button ? Keep the tab plugged in and push it. Did you try to power on or boot to recovery ? Just running the battery down doesn't necessarily ruin the battery. I've run mine down a few times and never had a lithium battery fail for that alone.

If power button doesn't work try your key combo for recovery.

No reset button on the vtab1008,lower part blinks and nothing else when power button is pushed ,power cord plugged in or not.

Boot to recovery and factory reset.
