I have been searching with google and find OLD ways that DONT work anymore. I just got a new Asus Zen s3 10 tablet. it has 2k screen rez. EVERY time I go to youtube it always starts at 240 resolution which looks like CRAP. EVERY time I need to hit the three dots in upper right and change video quality to 1080 which is what I ALWAYS want.

I heard there is now an ap to do this BUT search play store I cant find what iam looking for. My phone doesn't do this which is a Moto G5 plus. It usually starts at at least 720, why does my NEW high rez tablet want ONLY 240. 240 is BLURRY for gods sake. My tablet is running android 7. So is my phone.

So if there is an ap please let me know what that ap is, plus can I get it at playstore.

fixed problem. I needed an update for youtube app. BUT it didnt show I needed one at the play store UNTIL I started tablet in Safe Mode. Then when going to play store I saw Update button. Updated rebooted in regular mode . Now videos start at one down from highest rez. Thats ok.
