Desperate for help

Hello everyone, I am new to this site, just registered. I have had bought a Mid Android 2.2, 7" Mid Tablet. It seems to be geared up for use in China !!!. There are limited apps to download and these mostly seem for Chinese then UK. I have no idea what the browser is but have Google search engine. the gmail email account works and the Google maps, but other then that I can't get Facebook app, Twitter app, YouTube app. I have tried to download Google apps but it says the browser not supported. Sundry other things I have trie to download say I dont have permission!!! I am so fed up and confused. Has anyone any advice other then to throw it in the trash bin. thanks
