Did i get a Bad Tablet??

hello all. i just picked up what seemed like a great tablet at a great price. but it seems that the camera is defective or is his how it normally operates:
when in the camera app, the screen is very dark. but when i tap on the photo to view it, its bright.
is this normal for this tablet? thanks

Yes, I'd say it works really well. Nice pic. Must be an auto light sensor.
