Disable touchpad in favor of touchscreen and/or Bluetooth mouse

Is there a way to "turn off" the touch pad so that it doesn't react to a minor touch whie I'm typing?

Yep, it's in the function key row on the top of the keyboard dock. Near the left...fourth or fifth, I think.
