Hi Nancy and welcome.
K-9 is great, but I use a super set of K-9 called Kaiten (K-10 sorta). The trick is to see all those accounts up so they are all IMAP accounts on your tablet. That's the way phones typically set up the accounts or at least they prefer doing it that way. With IMAP is keeps your tablet synced with the mail servers so nothing will get lost on your desktop.. Kaiten is superior to K-9 but it costs $5 and worth it for a good mail client. I used K-9 for a while and it doesn't know it isn't running on a phone.
