Use a newer version of ClockworkMod recovery. Try using 3.2.0.1.

I'm using 3.2.0.1 and still can't format data, the nook just freezes and I have to reset it. I've been trying all day to reset it with no luck. Any advice?

Try the option to factory restore on the main screen.

I am new to the whole thing and was having the same problem. I had to reinstall an earlier version, think it was the first one and then flash from card using the newer version of CWR. I also trashed all the downloads I had and started fresh with new CWR and CM7.

Best of luck. Frustrating but worth it in the end.
