external modem question

Hi All,

I own freescale based iMX515 Android tablet with Froyo. The tablet does not have GSM capability but I have heard that one can get a 3G external modem support on Froyo that enables the tablet to use certain brands external 3G modem.
Have anybody done this and can guide me through the update / app loading procedure?
or can anybody point me to the right direction to look for this info?

The firmware version dated 01.06 supports external 3G (for certain dongles). I myself tried it with a huawei e1752 and it worked alright. Just make sure u disable external cd / storage modes on the dongle.
