Interesting. Looks like the backing can be pretty easily removed, so that's a plus. Are the specs for the Express version in there somewhere?

It would be interesting to see if it were possible to upgrade the device manually. It doesn't look like there's a lot in the way of standardized, interchangeable parts in there, but I don't really know enough to be sure.

I remember taking apart my old Dell Axim when it died and was shocked to discover how much of the internal parts were interchangeable much like a desktop computer.

There might be specs for the Express (which is what I also have). I will need to look around.

I have a STRONG feeling it is almost identical sans HDMI and possible a different 100 mhz slower processor. I cannot imagine how hard it would be change the chip but the batteries should be a no-brainer. I get the feeling one could switch out a mini USB for a protruding full USB (not sure of the benefit in that but hey just trying out crazy ideas).
