General cm7 question

If I were to do cm7 on an SD card, would I still have access to all my downloaded apps that I currently run on my NC, or would I have to re-download them for use while running cm7 from SD card?

When you run from SD, it will be like entirely a new OS.

You will have to redownload and install them. You can use an app like Titanium Backup though to make it a bulk restore process but many people see changing the OS as a good time to start fresh and install only the apps that you really use.

Also if restoring items with titanium backup it is best to re-download the ones you can from the market, and just restore data with Titanium Backup.
