I just watched a review on the A500 and they said the front panel felt more plastic than glass and some minor scratches were already appearing.

Mentioned at 1:57

Is the front glass or plastic?
Maybe just not gorilla glass....

We get it. What's with the same post everywhere, man?

And regarding your scratch issues, I don't know what the hell the guy in the review has done to his, but I've had mine since launch day, and I don't have a single scratch anywhere on it. Think more iPhone less PSP.

Sorry, I posted here first but thought it might not be noticed.

Good new though thanks to another member. :)

Actually it IS gorilla glass.

1. Go to gorilla's website: CORNING® GORILLA® GLASS
2. Click on "Products with Gorilla" at the very top.
3. You'll see the Iconia A500 listed

Just put a shield on mine. Freaking ridiculously expensive. Have to wait a couple days though to test for glare. Right now I think there is some minor refracting of light -- but once it dries that should go away--I hope.

Now that I have my A500 I can say it has the exact same gorilla glass as the Xoom.
Same mirror like reflection.
Same horizontal lines visible only when powered off.

However, the touch panel grid is different:
The Xoom has a honeycomb pattern grid.
The A500 has a tiny dot pattern grid.

Not complaining, just making an observation.
