gmail fails after pre root move to 1.1.0 .....any help appreciated

after following instructions to take my rooted cn from 1.01 to 1.1.0
all seemed well .. but after gmail was opened a couple of times, it stopped deleting emails as instructed, then it stopped working all together ..when clicking the gmail icon, a plain white screen opens for a moment, then shuts off ...back to home page...

don't know what to try next ....

Try Nook Color Tools > Settings > Application manager > Gmail app: force stop then clear cache

did you happen to update gmail through the market? because if you did there is a known issue with that update and it has been pulled from the market. if you didnt update it then just ignore this comment

gmail app does not show in the app list under nook tools>manage applications ....?

i did not load gmail from the market ...

Go to the second tab of Titanium Backup (get it in market if you don't have it) and then scroll to gmail and "wipe data".
