AndroidPolice reported on an interesting incident, where they messaged Google's twitter account about pirated books published as books on the Android Market. Surprisingly, Google managed to respond within the hour, removing the affected applications from the market - all 100+ applications.

Now we can only hope that Google can keep this up. Then we don't have to cry about it on Android subreddit until a Google employee picks up the news during their tea break, a hundred upvotes or so later.
