Google Play Store on 8042

Thanks for the info. I recently received a replacement 8042 from Coby (first one was a dud.) I'm currently using an older 1126 with the German ICS 4.0.3 upgrade and have Google Market (links me to Play Store) running as well as Google Maps (including satellite view.) ICS 4.0.3 is NOT rooted and Google Earth and Chrome still don't function on the 1126.
On the 8042 I already have Amazon AppStore running as well as a link to APKTOP and should be able to get most of the apks that are installed on the 1126. I need to repeat the method on the 8042 for installing GAPPS that I used on the 1126. Right now Google Market/Playstore, Earth, Maps and Chrome are not (yet) working.
One thing I noticed is ICS on the 8042 does a better job of handling storage than the ICS version I downloaded onto the 1126. When I get everything running on the 8042 I plan to retire the 1126...

Guys, I just got my Coby 7042. I am desperately trying to get to Google Play. Would appreciate if you could help me with this.. Also I would like to connect a 3G Dongle (Tata Photon) to my Coby and would appreciate if someone could tell me how to do this. Thanks
