Welcome to the forum aerdosaw. We will try to help in any way we know how. But I'm not understanding what it is you need. Are you just seeking acknowledgement of this statement or something else? Yes, you will have to create a Google account to use Google Play apps. Just as you will if you download the Amazon App store and get Amazon apps. But you log-on is secure and you will not get beat down with junk email from them. I have had a Google account for years and love Google products. And I love the open feeness of Android.

hi i'm also experiencing problems to activate my google play. It shows the text authentication is required. you need to sign in to your google account. this is a new phone and i really do not know where to go to solve the problem.
