and the google tts or pico tts engines dont work because the google one crashes or is incomplete
i found an updated google apps zip in "7042-Root-Recovery-Gapps.rar" that was dated 7-5-2012
that fixed my issue. still dont have any options in the settings,but the google tts now works
i installed the updated apps .zip using cwr
not sure what other apps it includes, but if you are also having issues with google services you might want to give it a try
