I got my Ainol Novo 7 tablet today from BrilliantStore.com. It was shipped from China.

I had ordered the Advanced version. What came was the Basic version. What is the difference between the 2 and do you think I should return for the correct one and wait 6 more weeks?

Thanks for the help

Bill

i think the major difference between the first launch ones was the advanced was shipped with a 1.2ghz chip vs the basic with a 1ghz chip
they both had 512mbs of ram so i am not to sure of any other huge differences
looks like the 2012 will have a 1.5ghz though ÏêϸÐÅÏ¢ - °¬Åµ²úÆ· - °¬Åµµç×Ó

basic

there is the links directly from ainol hope i could help.

if you do keep it how ever could you report back to me on how quick it is and such mines not here yet but it will be soon

Edit: yeah i know the links are in a thrid world language but they work

The BASIC had a JZ4770 (xburst) CPU and a GC860 GPU. It operates on what is called the MIPS processor.

The ADVANCED has an A10 CPU and a Mali400 GPU.

There appeard to be much more support and developmwnt for the ADVANCED model.

Check out these forums which are dedicated to the ADVANCED:

Ainol Novo 7 Advanced - SlateDroid.com

Ainol Novo7

Home of Ainol Novo 7A - www.hardwarezone.com.sg

I would return the BASIC for the ADVANCED, but if you do not intend to install custom ROMs, the BASIC might be acceptable.
