Still have to wait and see if it will work standalone or not. Not all aGPS do. Be of particular interest to me in the case of the wi-fi only version as I have no need for 3g in the system.

I'm pretty sure the GPS will work out of the box. I can't imagine Motorola is going to make people buy an extra GPS feature, considering how expensive this tablet already is.

Thanks for the feedback. Have you tried the GPS with the Cell antenna turned off? I'd be most interested in that behavior. It should still work, but be slow on time to first fix.

Please give it a try and report.

Gps with cell turned off works fine. It wasn't slow to locate even when I was inside my house. It even new I was in the living room on google maps..... creepy if you think about it

I used it this morning driving to work and it did a good job. I will use it this weekend on a 800 mile trip to Colorado. It is more accurate than the Garmin Nuvi I have in the car....
