There is no Jelly Bean ROM for the ZT-280's or ZT-282's...

The last official ICS ROM for the ZT-280 C91 H1_2n is the 0314 ICS 4.0.3 ROM....

http://www.zenithink.com/UploadFile/temp/ZT280_H1_2n_3n_3a_C91_Android4.0_0314.rar

You may be interested in trying Pas's altered ICS ROM - [ROM] ZeniBasic ICS v1.2 28/02/2013 - SlateDroid.com (Remove the ZT282.* files from the zt-update folder and remember to move the files and folder from the ZT-280 C91_2n folder into the zt-update folder... I have not tried this ROM as I think Gingerbread is more stable and uses the 512MB RAM more efficiently.)

erm, but may i know that which kernel you using? your frequency is running on 800Mhz or 950Mhz?
My tablet doesn't boot up with the 950MHz kernel, it gets stuck on the logo.... I am using 900MHz with 2GB data partition....

omarahum - I d/l the rar file, unzipped, and still don't know what files in that file to put in the zt-update folder. There are 23 files in the rar file, and the Readme.text file says "If you C91 type is 2n, please copy these 4 files in the folder "2n' to zt-update directore". The problem is that it doesn't identify which 4 of the 23 files I should put in the zt-update folder.

Here is the data on my ZT280:

(From Sticker)

Model – ZT280H12NC91M512F8
Serial Number – SD1111161101N******

(From Device)

Model: ZT280

Kernel Version: 2.6.34 root@android #2483
Build Number: b01ref-eng 2.3.4 GB.b01ref.2011094 eng.root.20110924.132957 test-keys

You need to use the zt-update folder that's in there and add the files/folders from the 2n folder into that one, then copy that zt-update folder onto your sdcard.....
So in the zt-update folder you should have:
media - folder with version.txt in it, file is copied to the media partition...
command - tells the recovery what to do
data.zt280.tar.bz - files for the data partition
media.zt280.tar.bz - files for the media partition
system.patch.zt280.tar.bz - small patch of files for the system partition
system.zt280.tar.bz - main files for the system partition
ZT280.kernel - kernel used when your tablet normally boots up
ZT280.recovery - kernel/recovery used when you boot into flash mode to flash your tablet
ZT280_H1_2n_C91_Android4.0_0313_V2.8.txt - Really not needed, just tells you what ROM the files in this zt-update folder are from...

There is no "zt-update" folder in that file.

Here is what I tried.

Full FAT32 format on a 16gb micro sd card.

1. made a "zt-upgrade" folder on the sd card.
2. made a "media" folder on the sd card and copied the version.txt file into that.
3. copied the other files into the zt-upgrade folder on the sd card.

My "zt-update" folder on the sd card looks like this:

media\version.txt (this is the media folder with the .txt file in it)
command
data.zt280.tar.bz
media.zt280.tar.bz
system.patch.zt280.tar.bz
system.zt280.tar.bz
ZT280.kernel
ZT280.recovery

After the camera/power on, I get:

"camera key pressed"
"prepare to enter mmc update mode”
“system update start...”
“do not touch screen, recovery will do a calibration”
"skip recovery"
"kernel start"
“green droid”

and then a blank screen

Now what? Or do I now have a neat looking paperweight

Strange, the rar file should look like this
Code:
/ZT280_H1_2n_3n_3a_C91_Android4.0_0314.rar
 /ZT280_H1_2n_3n_3a_C91_Android4.0_0314
  /android_firmware
   /2n
    /media
     version.txt
    ZT280.kernel
    ZT280.recovery
    ZT280_H1_2n_C91_Android4.0_0313_V2.8.txt
   /3a
    /media
     version.txt
    ZT280.kernel
    ZT280.recovery
    ZT280_H1_3a_C91_Android4.0_0313_V1.17.txt
   /3n
    /media
     version.txt
    ZT280.kernel
    ZT280.recovery
    ZT280_H1_3n_C91_Android4.0_0313_V2.12.txt
   /zt-update
    command
    data.zt280.tar.bz
    media.zt280.tar.bz
    system.patch.zt280.tar.bz
    system.zt280.tar.bz
   Readme.txt
   UpdateInfo.txt
  /touch_firmware_for_3a
   /zt-update
    command
    firmware.touch
    ZT280.kernel
    ZT280.recovery
    ZT280_H1_3a_TP-Patch_0305.txt
   Notice for 3a User.txt

Are you sure you named the folder zt-update and not zt-upgrade?

Try to add these files from the Zenithink FTP and see if it helps:
Unpack the four zt280.* files and add those four files to the zt-update folder -
ftp://zenithink.cn:10021/pub/dyliao/zt-280/boot/20120105/H1/2n/H1_2n.rom.tar.bz2
Download and add the four logo files to the zt-update folder -
ftp://zenithink.cn:10021/pub/dyliao/zt-280/logo/batt_charge.logo
ftp://zenithink.cn:10021/pub/dyliao/zt-280/logo/batt_low.logo
ftp://zenithink.cn:10021/pub/dyliao/zt-282/logo/20120214/boot.logo
ftp://zenithink.cn:10021/pub/dyliao/zt-282/logo/20120214/boot_update.logo

So then you should have a complete ROM to flash:
Code:
/zt-update
    /media
        version.txt
    batt_charge.logo
    batt_low.logo
    boot.logo
    boot_update.logo
    command
    data.zt280.tar.bz
    media.zt280.tar.bz
    system.patch.zt280.tar.bz
    system.zt280.tar.bz
    ZT280.boot
    ZT280.kernel
    ZT280.recovery
    ZT280.rom
    ZT280.sd
    ZT280.spl
    ZT280_H1_2n_C91_Android4.0_0313_V2.8.txt

PS - When it says "skip recovery", it means the tablet can't find the ZT280.recovery and/or command file in the zt-update folder of the sdcard..... If it's not a problem with the sdcard, it could be the files are corrupted or something (either during the download or when unraring it), it's recommended you use 7zip to uncompress the rar download....
