Hi am new to the world of Android

Happy New Year. I'm also new to this site and Android OS. After being exposed to my SIL's Asus Eee Transformer, the DW says she HAS TO HAVE a tablet. So now I have to understand the features of Gingerbread, Honeycomb and now ICS vs. our basic tablet usage needs. Any comparisons topic discussion links would be appreciated.
