Just a quick hello. Just bought my "S" tablet yesterday and was up till 2:00 this morning getting it set up.

Androids I own/owned
An Archos 70, and a HTC shift.

So far it is awesome. Everything I thought it would be.

Only issue at the moment is complaints about Sony's "Special" power cord.

I too would prefer a more conventional power connector ... has anyone managed to find a source for the connectors used on the Sony S tablets? I'd like to have a spare, and make myself a car charger too.

I even went to Fry's Electronics and struck out.

I did find some wall chargers on Ebay, but for $40.00+
Sony Tablet charger | eBay

Car chargers was another strike out. The easiest is to simply get an inverter.
12v inverter | eBay

Retarded that the USB won't charge. So far this is my biggest complaint.

Thanks for the links, Dave. I'd found those, too. What I'd really like is a source for the actual connector 'though, to make up charging cables myself.

I agree, thus my trip to Fry's Electronics, but nothing.

Great buy Dave, congrats! I got to play around with the Tablet S in the Sony Center in Berlin and it was quite impressive.
The price is a bit steep in EU though (600 eur)...

I agree, not an everyday purchase.
Fortunately I was able to find one that Best Buy was selling as an open box. Saved $75.00
