HELP! Buying a new tablet, and need info

I'm looking for an android tablet. It will be used for exactly 2 purposes.

1. Watching video
2. Surfing the web

My phone is a wifi hotspot so i don't need 3g

I am okay with 7" or 10" but i want higher quality video.

Here's the real kicker.... whatever i get MUST play AVI format video... that's not optional.

point me in the right direction please. I've been researching and can't decide on what i need, but my head is about to explode
