Help with cambridge sciences v7

Hello I wonder if anyone can help. Today I took delivery of a Cambridge Sciences v7 I bought it because it has a sim card slot and quote "can use phone sim" I am on the 3uk network and I use my phone to tether phone to laptop. I traval quite a lot and thought a tablet with 3g connection was the way ahead. I copied apn from phone setting into my tablet it finds the network ok but wont connect. I rang 3 and they said it wont work. I cant see why not as all im doing is swapping my 3g sim from one device to another. can anyone shed light on either where im going wrong or is my new tablet not compatible with a 3uk 3g sim. Hi, I bought the 8GB Cambridge Sciences G7-II 7inch Android 2.3 Tablet but accidentally erased the user manual in the aldiko e reader app. Can you please send it to me if you still have the tablet?
