How big is the lcd screen for 8" device?

I would like to use this as a pdf reader with vertical mode; however,

i wanna know exact size of lcd screen, not the device.

i heard that actual screen size is about 6 inch only. is this correct?

if its that small, i will go for zt-180 v2. which has bigger scrren than this.

If its a Freescale 8" Cortex A8, it's 8 inches Diagonally , not six"

like alcassetta said it is 8 inch diagonally which is how most screens are measured and having owned both a 7 inch and 8 inch there is a big difference.
