How can I fix this? dragon touch a1x plus? (move this post if need be.)

* This is a granny's tablet... so any help would be nice. thx.
* She has two.. I usually fix them both by factory resetting them. no other way.

- but this one a1x.. won't charge.. cause the charge is stuck? or bad battery?
*** I plug it in to charge.. it shows a battery symbol... screen goes off shortly after...
*** It then comes back on seconds later as 100% charged. and thus it never really charges.
- So i can not factory reset it, cause I'm guessing it really don't have the power to do so.

So any ideas? but yeah don't buy a dragon touch lol!...
...even when the factory reset works.. one reset is just too many. indeed.
So any ideas? any idea is good at this point. dead battery? or junk it?

My first thought is the battery.
Sounds like the chip in the battery that reports the charge in the battery is faulty.
At least, that is normally part of the battery and not the mainboard of the tablet.

If possible, use the original cable to plug it into a running computer for at least 5 hours.

[SOLVED] Problem now solved. and fixed. :)

- Thought it was the battery.
... u plug in tablet.. charge icon comes up.. then showed 100% charge.
... but the tablet would never come on. reset did nothing..hard reset nothing.
- Swapped battery from a different tablet.. bat showed as charging..
- So not the battery. uhggg.. then I put the original battery back in. huhhh...
- ok now what could it be.. let me check this then...

- I jumped a short wire across the power button circuit momentarily.
- And Presto. It starts booting up. awesome. ah hah.
* It was the stupid power button... uggghh really? lol!

* Once it boots on. Go To App Store and Install: Volume Power Lock.
.. install.. enable it in the apps settings. select the power button option.
+ Now u can use the volume buttons as the power button. done. all fixed. all free.
... just don't let the tablet go completely dead. or you'll be wire jumping again. lol
